Death by Force

Hardy M. Burns, a 37-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on July 10, 2020, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Burns was found near 15th Street and Baker Avenue around 10:50 p.m. with fatal gunshot wounds. His death was one of four homicides that occurred in East St. Louis between July 9 and July 12, 2020. The other victims included William Porter Jr., Tony Townsend, and Terrill D. Mason, all of whom were also shot and killed in separate incidents.
