Deashawn Turner, a 21-year-old African American male from Evanston, IL, was fatally shot on July 25, 2020. The incident occurred just after midnight in the 2200 block of Emerson Street. Turner was inside a residence when he was shot multiple times in the chest and arm. Despite being rushed to NorthShore University Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
