Andrew Williams, a 29-year-old African American man, was tragically shot to death on July 26, 2020, in Evanston, Illinois. The incident occurred outside his home on Hartrey Avenue, just hours before he was set to celebrate his 30th birthday. According to police reports, Andrew Williams was ambushed by two masked gunmen who exited a vehicle and opened fire, hitting him multiple times.
