Derius Coleman, a 29-year-old African American man, was tragically shot to death on August 28, 2020, in the South Chicago neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the early morning hours in the 8500 block of South Muskegon Avenue. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and subsequently found Coleman lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
