Omar Alvarado, a 15-year-old boy from suburban Harvey, Illinois, was tragically killed on the evening of September 26, 2020, in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side of Chicago. Omar, who was of Hispanic ethnicity, was shot in the head around 9:20 p.m. while he was in the 11600 block of South Prairie Avenue. He was immediately taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
