Alante Hands, a 27-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on December 31, 2020, in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. as Hands stood outside in the 5900 block of West Rice Street. He sustained gunshot wounds to his arm, chest, and leg.
