Alante Hands, a 27-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on December 31, 2020, in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. as Hands stood outside in the 5900 block of West Rice Street. He sustained gunshot wounds to his arm, chest, and leg. Despite being rushed to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the details of ...
