The incident occurred early in the morning on the 900 block of Connecticut Street. Upon arrival, San Francisco police officers found Anderson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical response from both the officers and paramedics, Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into Anderson's murder led to the arrest of multiple individuals over the subsequent year. On August 25, 2014, Deandre Watson, a 27-year-old suspect, was taken into custody, and further investigation led to additional arrests. Maurice Bibbs, 28, and Myesha Carr, 33, were identified as co-conspirators, and arrest warrants were issued for them. Bibbs was arrested in October 2015, while Carr was already in custody on unrelated charges. All three were booked on charges including murder, conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Another related homicide in the Bayview District in October 2014 involved Jamoud Greer, 22, who was arrested for a separate shooting that resulted in the death of a friend following an apparent dispute. This shooting happened on Harbor Road, with Greer taken into custody in May 2015. It highlights the ongoing violence and complex nature of incidents occurring in that area during the period.
