Kevontay Toomer, a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 14, 2021, in the Chatham neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. while Kevontay was seated in a vehicle in the 8000 block of South Ellis Avenue. An unknown assailant approached the vehicle and fired multiple gunshots, striking Kevontay.
