Alter E. Ivy II, a 17-year-old male from Taylorville, Illinois, tragically passed away on May 27, 2021. The incident occurred during a dispute involving approximately 30 to 35 young adults and minors near Taylorville's town square. During the altercation, Ivy sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m. that evening.
