Stanley Johnson, a 60-year-old African American man, was tragically shot to death on June 9, 2021, in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Johnson answered the doorbell at his home on West 83rd Street. As he opened the door, he was shot in the forehead, and a family member found him lying in the doorway shortly after hearing the gunshot. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the authorities.
