Martin Guerrero was driving through Chicago’s Humboldt Park in the early hours of August 24, 2025, when a traffic crash on the 3800 block of West Chicago Avenue brought his car to a stop. Another vehicle pulled up; its driver stepped out and shot Guerrero several times in the chest before fleeing, according to police. Guerrero, who lived in Morris, Illinois, was rushed to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead that morning.
