Jule Gastine Dotson

Jule Gastine Dotson, a 48-year-old man, was fatally shot on the morning of December 22, 2024, in the South Chicago neighborhood. The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. in an alley located in the 8000 block of South Escanaba Avenue. Dotson, who resided in the same block where the shooting took place, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Emergency responders transported him to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
