In the early morning hours of January 2, 2009, the life of 20-year-old Marcel Lee Mitchell was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Baltimore, Maryland. Police responded to a call at 4:56 a.m. in the 1100 block of Orleans Street, where they discovered a grim scene. Marcel, a Black male, was found lying in the street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
