Kierra Moore, a 16-year-old African American girl from Chicago, IL, was tragically killed on October 14, 2021, in a drive-by shooting. Kierra, a promising basketball player at Michele Clark Academic Prep Magnet High School, was standing with a group of people in the Lawndale neighborhood when gunfire erupted from a passing black car around 11:30 p.m. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of West Polk Street.
