Kevin Tinker Jr., a 14-year-old African American boy, was tragically shot and killed on November 21, 2021, in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Kevin was walking home from a friend's house when he was fatally shot multiple times. His father, Kevin Tinker Sr., described him as a good kid who enjoyed playing basketball and video games, and emphasized that he was not involved in gang activities.
