Cordero Monroe, a 32-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on December 1, 2021, in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when Monroe was inside a business located in the 400 block of East 63rd Street.
