Brentt Cobbs, a 37-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on April 5, 2022, in the South Chicago neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. when Cobbs and a 40-year-old woman were stopped at an intersection in the 3200 block of East 87th Street. Another vehicle approached, and someone inside opened fire.
