On May 4, 2022, Jarrell Watkins, a 34-year-old African American male, was found shot to death in his car in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 7800 block of South Constance Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Watkins with gunshot wounds to his chest and neck. He was immediately transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
