On May 23, 2022, Brandon Foley, a 32-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. when Foley and another man were in the 2800 block of West Polk Street. According to the Chicago police, a silver-colored sedan drove by and someone inside the vehicle opened fire. Foley was struck in the head, back, and leg, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
