Stefan Filipovic, a 24-year-old male from Waukegan, IL, tragically lost his life on May 29, 2022, as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred near Poppy’s restaurant on Washington Street in Waukegan. On that fateful day, the Waukegan Police Department responded to a report of a shooting around 4:51 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found two men with gunshot wounds to their heads on the sidewalk near the parking lot of the restaurant.
