Andrew Dobda, a 47-year-old white male and a sergeant with the Chicago Police Department, passed away on July 17, 2022. His death was ruled a suicide by the Cook County medical examiner's office. Dobda died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head while off-duty. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he succumbed to his injuries.
