LaParis Moore, an 18-year-old African American male from Zion, Illinois, was fatally shot on August 6, 2022, in North Chicago. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. in the 1400 block of Park Avenue. According to the North Chicago Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired and found evidence of a shooting at the scene.
