Cleonta Day, a 31-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2022, in Rockford, Illinois. The incident occurred while he was driving his car in the 600 block of 12th Street. Reports indicate that Cleonta Day was shot while inside his vehicle. Despite his injuries, he managed to drive towards Keith Creek, where he eventually exited the vehicle before it crashed into the creek.
