On December 7, 2022, the bodies of 27-year-old Javonni Jenkins and her 79-year-old father, Curtis Hardman, were discovered in their home in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood. Javonni Jenkins, an African American woman, was found deceased alongside her elderly father, both having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
