On a Sunday in late January of 1978, a trip to a bustling flea market in Atlanta, Georgia, turned tragic for Louis Zaglin, a 53-year-old White male. The events of January 29th unfolded at 2424 Piedmont Road NE, where Zaglin was enjoying the day's offerings. The ordinary afternoon took a fatal turn when he discovered an unknown Black male inside his parked van.
Upon approaching his vehicle to confront the intruder, Zaglin was shot.
The suspect, whose identity remains unknown, fled the scene immediately after the shooting. The incident left Zaglin with fatal injuries, and his death was later ruled a homicide.
Decades have passed since the violent encounter, yet the case of Louis Zaglin's death remains unresolved.
