Tony Reed Wilder, a 43-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on January 31, 1986, in Colquitt County, Georgia. Deputy Sheriff Tony Reed Wilder was fatally shot while attempting to serve a committal warrant on a suspect. The incident occurred when Wilder, along with several other deputies, approached the suspect's residence. The suspect, armed with a rifle, opened fire on the deputies, fatally wounding Wilder.
