On a Saturday afternoon in Colquitt, Georgia, a violent encounter cut short the life of 30-year-old Lamaris Miller. The incident, which occurred on June 20, 2015, at approximately 2:00 PM, also resulted in serious injuries to two teenagers, 18-year-old Damien Lee and 17-year-old Levionte Burr. The tranquil day was shattered by the sound of gunfire at a residence on North 2nd Street, prompting a response from the Colquitt Police Department.
