Robert James Ingram, a 24-year-old white male, was tragically killed on July 13, 1993, in Marietta, Georgia. Ingram, who was an officer with the Cobb County Police Department, was responding to a report of a suspicious person near the railroad tracks in the Elizabeth area. During this encounter, he was shot by George Russell Henry, a man who had recently been released from prison. Henry had a .380 caliber automatic handgun hidden in a bag he was carrying.
