Rhett Forrester, a 37-year-old white male, was tragically killed on January 22, 1994, in Atlanta, Georgia. Forrester, known for his role as the lead singer of the heavy metal band Riot, was shot during an attempted carjacking. The incident occurred at the intersection of Lovejoy Street (now Centennial Lane) and Merritts Avenue, just one block west of Techwood Drive (now Centennial Olympic Park Drive).
