Robbie Edward Bishop, a 35-year-old white male, was a highly respected captain in the Villa Rica Police Department in Georgia. On January 20, 1999, Captain Bishop was tragically shot and killed while conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 20, approximately 18 miles east of the Alabama state line. Known for his exceptional work in drug interdiction, Captain Bishop had set state records for interstate drug seizures and was widely recognized for his dedication and expertise in the field.
