Andy Byron Scott, a 41-year-old white male, died on June 8, 2002, in Spalding County, Georgia. His death was a tragic result of a shooting incident at a nursing home where he was receiving care for Huntington's disease, a debilitating and hereditary condition that had left him unable to walk, feed himself, or think clearly.
