Alesia Hynson, a 23-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot and killed by her former boyfriend, Jamil Gandy, on October 15, 1984, in Eddystone, Pennsylvania. At the time of her death, Hynson was working as a security guard for Brock International Security Corp. and Allied Security, Inc., stationed at the production plant of Scotfoam, Inc.

Hynson had a history of seeking protection from Gandy due to his abusive behavior. She had previously obtained a temporary protection from ...
