Michael Randy Scott, a 42-year-old white male, died on June 8, 2002, in Spalding County, Georgia. His death was the result of a gunshot wound inflicted by his mother, Carol Carr. Michael Randy Scott, along with his 41-year-old brother Andy Byron Scott, was suffering from Huntington's disease, a debilitating and hereditary condition that had already claimed the life of their father.
