In Warner Robins, Georgia, a young life was tragically cut short in the spring of 2014. Aaron Taylor, a 19-year-old African American male, died on March 12, 2014, from a gunshot wound. The incident prompted a swift investigation by the Warner Robins Police Department.
Authorities were called to the 200 block of Southland Station Drive in the afternoon, where they discovered Taylor with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead by medical personnel. As detectives delved into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, it became clear that it was not an intentional act of violence.
The investigation revealed that the fatal shot was fired from a gun in the possession of 19-year-old Marcus Dewayne Sallette, who was inside the apartment with Taylor at the time. Following this discovery, Sallette was arrested and faced charges of Involuntary Manslaughter and Reckless Conduct. The case was then handed over to the Houston County District Attorney's Office for further review.
