In the early hours of a Wednesday morning in Warner Robins, Georgia, a dispute at the Executive Inn on Watson Boulevard turned fatal, claiming the life of 52-year-old D'Andre Nepoleon Willis. The incident, which occurred around 4:15 a.m. on July 20, 2016, shattered the morning quiet and left a community searching for answers. Police were called to the scene to investigate a shooting and discovered that Willis had been shot three times.
He was rushed to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the shooting moved swiftly, and later that same day, authorities announced an arrest. Warner Robins police took 38-year-old Artis Christian Jones into custody in connection with the killing.
