Jason Forkin, a 40-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on April 12, 2014, in Hartwell, Georgia. Forkin was the owner of Frohmullers Grill Shop and Bait, a popular local restaurant. On the night of his death, the restaurant was closing when Sammy D. Chumley, a 46-year-old man from Franklin County, entered the establishment armed with a large caliber pistol. Chumley shot and killed Forkin, who died from a gunshot wound to the head.
