In the late hours of a Saturday, on February 14, 2015, the life of 24-year-old Actavious Tahji Thompson of Cartersville, Georgia, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call of shots fired around 11 p.m. near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Cartersville police officers discovered Thompson's body in the backyard of a residence. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Near his body, authorities found a small black revolver.
