On May 24, 2015, Antonio Spear, a 32-year-old Black male from Atlanta, Georgia, was found deceased in East Point under circumstances initially deemed suspicious. Employed as a security guard at Tri-Cities Plaza, Spear was discovered in his white Ford Expedition, which had crashed into a fence near the shopping center.
