Rocquan Scarver, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 10, 2015, in Savannah, Georgia. Rocquan was shot at the intersection of West 39th and Burroughs streets and later succumbed to his injuries at Memorial Health University Medical Center. His death was part of a particularly violent year in Savannah, which saw a significant spike in homicides and aggravated assaults.
