On the evening of December 30, 2015, in Lithonia, Georgia, 13-year-old Marcus Lewis was tragically killed in what authorities determined to be an accidental shooting. According to reports, Marcus and his 17-year-old friend, Aaron Harcum, discovered a firearm in a wooded area near a residence on Idlewood Park. The two boys brought the gun into the garage of the home and began handling it. At approximately 10:30 p.m., the firearm discharged, striking Marcus in the face and resulting in his death.
