Marcus Lewis, a 13-year-old Black male from Lithonia, was spending the last days of 2015 in what should have been an ordinary neighborhood setting when his life was cut short after a gun went off in a garage on Idlewood Park in DeKalb County. Local reports said he had been with other boys at a home in the area on the night of December 30, 2015, when a handgun that had reportedly been found in nearby woods was being handled inside the garage.
