In a tragic and violent encounter on a Wednesday afternoon in Albany, Georgia, two men lost their lives in a sudden eruption of gunfire. The incident, which unfolded on April 13, 2016, at the Nottingham North Apartments, claimed the life of 56-year-old Herbert Garner Mitchell, a male U.S. Army veteran who had served his country for thirty-five years before retiring and returning to the United States from Germany in 2006.
