Donald Edward "DJ" Fickey, a 27-year-old white male, died on October 3, 2016, in Walker County, Georgia. Initially, his death was ruled a suicide by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), which concluded that he had died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound. However, DJ's family, particularly his sister Amanda Shirley, never believed this ruling. They argued that DJ, a father of three, would never have taken his own life, as he was deeply devoted to his children and family.
