Destiny McNichols, a 14-year-old African American girl, tragically died on December 6, 2016, in Mableton, Georgia. The incident occurred at the Sierra Forest Apartments on Mableton Parkway, where Destiny was accidentally shot by an 11-year-old boy. Witnesses reported that the boy found a handgun and, while handling it, accidentally discharged the weapon, striking Destiny.
