In a tragic turn of events stemming from a domestic dispute, a 29-year-old man, Jesus Monroe of Forest Park, lost his life. The fatal encounter unfolded in the early morning hours of a Tuesday in May 2017, inside a room at the Country Hearth Inn located on Shannon Parkway in Union City, Georgia.
Authorities reported that Monroe was involved in a heated confrontation with 23-year-old Jonathan Young of Palmetto. The altercation escalated dramatically, resulting in an exchange of gunfire between the two men. Both Monroe and Young sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the shootout.
Responding to the incident, police discovered Monroe deceased inside the hotel room. Young, who was also critically injured in the exchange, was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
