Benson West, a 15-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2015, in Union City, Georgia. The incident occurred at the Landings at Oak Hill apartment complex, where Benson was hanging out with a group of male friends. According to the Union City police, the fatal event transpired due to the improper handling of a firearm by one of the individuals present.
