In the late hours of a Memorial Day evening in 2017, the life of a young Atlanta man, Jeremy Braswell, was tragically cut short. The 24-year-old African American male was fatally shot on May 29, 2017, at the A2C Budget Hotel on Shirley Drive. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m., a time when the city was winding down from its holiday observances.
