James Edward Parks, an adult male, was tragically shot to death on June 14, 2017, in Rome, Georgia. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Nixon Avenue at Grover Street. Responding officers found Parks lying in the street with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to Floyd Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
