In the spring of 2015, the life of Rodney Vandette Johnson was tragically cut short. A 42-year-old Black male, Johnson was found on the morning of May 6, 2015, in the 2500 block of Druid Hill Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. He had been fatally shot.
Born on June 20, 1972, in Saginaw, Michigan, Johnson had made Baltimore his home. He was a father and was known by those who loved him as a man of faith. His death was officially ruled a homicide, another life lost to gun violence in the city.
