In the summer of 2011, a wave of violence gripped Baltimore, claiming the life of 15-year-old Dominic Gerard Perry. An African-American male, Dominic was fatally shot on the evening of Sunday, July 31, 2011, in the Southwest district of the city. Emergency responders rushed him to the Shock Trauma Hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe.
