In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 11, 2018, Scott Pierre Marthone, a 30-year-old man, was fatally shot while at his job. He was working as a security guard at the LoudHouse Studios on Liddell Drive in the northeast part of the city. Responding to a call of shots fired shortly after 10 p.m., Atlanta Police officers discovered Marthone behind the recording studio with multiple gunshot wounds to his head.

One of the individuals was described as wearing a red jacket over a white shirt and light-colored pants, while the other wore a dark hat, a dark long-sleeved shirt, gray sweatpants with a white stripe, and black shoes. Police also identified a vehicle of interest, a dark-colored sedan with a spare tire on the front passenger side. A reward was offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
Despite these efforts and the release of the descriptions of the persons and vehicle of interest, there have been no publicly reported arrests made in the years since Scott Marthone's death. The case, which was a tragic loss for his family and community, appears to have gone cold, with no new information on suspects or the motive behind the targeted killing being released to the public.
